We can always count on a few local designers to deliver something out of the norm and DEPRESSION has done it again with their Spring/Summer 2011 collection, aptly named as Dysfunction. Taking a bold step into the unorthodox, Dysfunction aims to adorn your closets with black, white, dots and stripes in an untraditional manner. It is time to break out from a cookie-cutter society and start embracing the spirit of looking different!

Key pieces for women include a broad '3-collared blouse' which offers the wearer three collars to wear alternately, an unshapely circular 'balloon blouse' and an 'upside-down dress', which is a dress worn upside-down.

For the gents, leather dots spilling from a tee shirt adds a little dimension from the regular dotted print, while a 'three-layered vest' is a clever design of bringing three vests into one. A 'black blazer' gives the classic blazer a twist by putting a hole, literally through its back.
'DYSFUNCTION 2011' will be launched on Christmas Eve 2010 (24th December 2010) and will be retailed exclusively at DEPRESSION.

History of Depression
Appearing in various magazines and media, Depression is a familiar name in the local scene. Established in 2006, the owners started this clothing line inspired by morbid and clinical designs. The unique and quirky design is aimed at people in the creative industry and design students. The bold and androgynous designs brought the brand on the feature of Harper’s Bazaar, Catalogue magazine and URBAN. A must-see for people who wants a daring and unique outfit! Some items are exclusive to the respective shops, and new items will be launched at the PARCO flagship store first.
Infusing clinical aesthetics into the interior of the Far East Plaza store, the raw and minimalism concept is reflected on the walls and overall design of the store. Oxygen mask is hung in the fitting room to inject a sense of grim, dark humor.
All apparels and accessories are designed by the two owners, and are priced from $45 for T-shirts and up to $200 for jackets and dresses. They also have bags, shoes and quirky accessories lined on the racks. Depression carries products for both men and women.
