Singapore, July ’09. The new MaxMara boutique of 325 sqm will be inaugurated inside the prestigious ION mall.

It takes inspiration from the new concept of the Flagship store in Milan, designed by Duccio Grassi Architects Studio. The new shop is characterized by restyling the historical image of Max Mara, through materials, colours and atmosphere.

This store is conceived as a box that dialogues with the outside, where the space is dynamic and metamorphic: it blends into the surrounding, welcoming and directing the flow through a division of the areas. This store is born from a concrete idea of architecture.

Clean lines and organic materials contribute to creating a tactile and visually articulated space, rich of propulsive contrasts. The wood is the leading element: ash-stained oak wood, ipe lapacho wood is accompanied by platinum painted glass, pure and sharp, and metal: cross scratched burnished metal.

The white colour disappears in favour of warmer and suffused hues. Thus, the language of the Max Mara store appears totally renewed.

The highlight of this new store is the front that is absolutely unique. The permeating volumes intertwine to create a sinuous and articulated facade. A horizontal peach coloured corian band, with the Max Mara logo, runs through the vertical satin finished surfaces that are arranged on three different levels of depth. This defines the perimeter of the store conferring it a unique and harmonious shape and a completely new three-dimensionality.

The store presents the following collections: Max Mara, Max Mara Elegante, ‘S Max Mara, Weekend, MaxMara Studio, Sportmax, Sportmax Code, Accessories, Perfumes and Sunglasses. These collections are proposed in a unique architectural context, that is modern and rigorous, to respond with a complete product mix to the needs of every woman.
