All's Fair in Art & Fashion
This week's illustration is inspired by model Anna Maria Jagodzinska in Bally's Fall/Winter 2010 campaign. As a matter of fact, she has been the face of numerous fashion houses this year and it just seems like everyone can't get enough of her.
If you have seen the campaign spread, you would have noticed that the mood of the photos drift towards the darker spectrum and the marble provided a severe, almost sombre look. Our inspired illustration is in complete contrast with the campaign, which will lead us to our main topic for today - as titled above.

Kifa's illustrating style will unsuspectingly inject a sense of warmth and softness, in spite of the harshness of an overall look. It's a little like perfume - top notes will hit you the strongest on first impression, but the true personality of it will start to envelope your skin as you admire it further in time. This little theory of mine works in the same way to how we dress up. Many of us may adapt different styles, but a certain trait in our ensembles will always bear a constant part of our personalities; probably through how we accessorise, or the way we style our hair.
We hope that more people will start discovering their creative sides and translate their lifestyles and passions into what they wear, rather than just the knowledge of putting outfits together with the help of a cookie cutter.
