Preview of Depression's Dysfunction at Parco

We wrote about Depression's new collection "Dysfunction" recently here. The folks at Depression are one of the few local designers that I really respect for their commitment to their quirky and unique styles. When you speak to Kenny and Andrew about their designers, their replies are passionate and their design inspiration very clear and well thought of.

So straight after work today, I went down to Parco where the Depression folks were having a private preview of their Dysfunction collection. Said hello to Kenny and Andrew and chit-chatted for a while. Was offered a little red wine which made my face a little red, but sober enough to check out their new collection. There was quite a number of people there when I arrived there at 8, which showed how much supporters they have!

They have stayed true to their design styles (even down to how this collection is named), and continue to please the regulars and supporters! While Kenny and Andrew have chosen to launch the full collection in phases, but the few selected pieces available were super! Kenny explained to me that the inspiration for Dysfunction was to design pieces that broke the norm e.g. why does a top only have to have 1 neckhole when you could have 3 - as shown in this picture below by the female model.

 One of my favourite piece is this... I love the big dots, and if you look carefully at the bottom (ok sooooooo I didn't really take a reallllllly good photo) the dots also popped out of the shirt right at the bottom. It's certainly one of Depression simple pieces and very wearable.

Another top which was interesting was this piece.

You could fold up the the black part with buttons to create some dimension to an otherwise 2D clothing.
